It's normal for unnecessary body parts to turn to jelly and fall off.

It's also normal for mouth like openings to appear on the body (the shoulders in this case) when undergoing a pure jellification such as this. J&F have those on their hands.

Their purpose is explained in the description of part 5. They're a cross between a GPS tracker and a shock collar.
